To converge means to get closer. Six companies have, under the headline Digital Convergence, chosen to get digitally closer by using the same IT standards.
It is no secret that the Danish construction sector, as well as many other developed markets, is subject to increasing demands for standards. Digital Convergence is a way of responding to one aspect of these demands. But the name also suggests that the initiative is a JOINT effort. It is something we must do together in the construction sector.
Digital Convergence is in this way another term for common standards. This is what is needed to improve our way of collaborating in the industry and to reach benefits from and add value to the use of IT.
There is still some way to go before we have a full digital integration where everybody communicates on equal terms. But with Digital Convergence we have established a number of areas where we move in the same direction and that will create the foundation, which makes digital integration possible.
